Install, Connect, and Checkout Rhino 6 with Campus License

***YOU MUST COMPLETE THE NEXT STEPS WHILE CONNECTED TO THE CAMPUS ‘EDUROAM’ WI-FI NETWORK OR WHILE HARD-WIRED INTO THE CAMPUS NETWORK***


Determine the corresponding platform of your computer.  

Click the matching platform link below and confirm that your hardware meets the requirements to run the software:


Rhino 7 for Mac

When prompted for an email address, enter your student email address.  Click Next.


Click on the Download Now button.

Note: Click anywhere in the window above that doesn’t have text if the OK button is grayed out. It should activate the OK button once you do.


Click OK.  Allow the download process to complete.


Drag the Rhino icon in the prompt below, to the Applications folder to install.

Once installed, click Open to launch Rhino. Enter your student email address in the prompt below:


***If not already, you must complete the next steps while connected to the campus ‘eduroam’ wi-fi network or while hard-wired into the campus network***


The application will not detect a license and will instead prompt you to enter it.  

Click on Options in the bottom left corner


Choose Use the LAN Zoo and then click the option to enter the name of the server



In the prompt below, select the second option: Use the Zoo server with the following hostname or IP address



TYPE the following: coaawinkey2.uncc.edu (copy & paste will not work for the hostname) Click Continue

Once successfully connected,  Rhino will fully launch with a splash screen & the license information with templates.
